It&#8217;s really interesting to thumb through this and wax nostalgic over the good ol&#8217; days, when you would make <a href=\"http:\/\/asparaguspee.blogspot.com\/burgers.jpg\">hamburgers<\/a> by adding a half cup of evaporated milk and a teaspoon of salt, or <a href=\"http:\/\/asparaguspee.blogspot.com\/hamburg.jpg\">&#8216;Saucy Hamburger Crumble&#8217;<\/a> starting with a tablespoon of &#8216;fat.&#8217; <\/p>\n<p>My mom actually had a grease can that we kept in the &#8216;fridge well into my teens that was an aluminum tin about the size of a coffee can, with a strainer in the top that all the &#8216;good grease&#8217; like bacon drippings went into. Mmmm&#8230; bacon drippings.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p>Someone told me recently that I should consider a career as a professional whistler. I know that sounds silly, but doggone it, I really am somewhat of a whistling master, a prodigy so to speak.
